I enjoy the Tandem Surfing sport here in Florida. The Tandem Surfers often hang out together and share food at surf contests. One time I decided to depart from the fresh fruit I usually brought, so I became creative in my kitchen. After a bit of experimentation, I came up with the Strawberry Ice Cream Substitute.
1 cup (250 ml) Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 tablespoon flax oil
1 scoop (single serving) Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
2 cups (500 ml) Frozen Strawberries
Add the Almond Milk and Flax Oil to the blender pitcher.
At the slowest speed, blend in the Protein Powder.
Stop the blender and add the Frozen Strawberries.
Cover and begin chopping the Strawberries at a medium-slow speed.
After the berries are chopped, slowly raise the speed to a medium-high setting.
Stop the blender when the mixture has the consistency of soft ice cream.
